"Who's ready for "Lucky Penny"?"
| |
Me me me me me me! I glanced at the cover again today as I was making my way over here to the board, and it made me wish time would hurry up! Here's the synopsis on Amazon: To support her orphaned niece, impoverished Brianna O'Keefe accepts work with a Colorado rancher. To guard herself from unwanted attention, she resorts to a harmless little lie: that she's married to a Denver gold miner named David Paxton. But when her "husband" shows up, Brianna is stunned-not the least by her desire... Beth |

YEA...can't wait to get Lucky Penny. I'm so ready for a CA book. I'm sure I'll buy it to read on the Kindle but also buy the book for my collection...and an extra one to put in the lending Library for others to read too.

Thank you Catherine. Tim had his 3rd chemo treatment yesterday and it went fine...even better because on Wed he had a port put in his chest so they could access his veins without having to put an IV in his arm. He has had little side effects, but last night he just didn't sleep well, so hope that is not a new side effect! Today our daughter is coming over and we are having a 'buzz party'...he says he wants to have all his hair shaved off before it falls out...they say with this chemo combo, it will fall out. It has not shown any signs of falling out yet, but he says he wants to do this and if it growns back, well fine! Over all we are both doing good, just pray that this chemo combo is going to work! We won't know till early to mid March when he gets another CTscan done. The Oncologist wants to get at least 8 treatments into him before then. He has one more dilation of his esophagus this coming Wed. After that it will not be good to do it as the chance of bleeding will become too high. He is doing pretty good with eating so we hope this next one will improve even more. He still can not eat too much though. Thank you for your continued support...you know how much we love you and everyone here. I ordered Lucky Penny last night from Amazon, so it should soon be here. 'Tinker Barb' is here in town for a local RWA meeting and I'll be meeting up with her on Sunday. She says she has an ARC copy for me but forgot to bring it! I just may hit her over the head when I see her (joking). She is going to mail it to me when she gets home then I'll have that one for my collection and the book I'll put in my lending library....after I read it! I had a good visit with Barb and then she had an appointment with a local author...Roxanne St. Claire. I had no idea that she had written so many books! Roxanne even gave me 2 of her books. They sound really good. Her newest one is about the Space Program here in our area. Barb also had the newest (not out yet) ARC of JD Robb sitting on her bed when I walked in. Barb asked if she could get me anything and I said 'yea, that book'...she let me have it as she has the hardback copy at home. She says she'll be back in the area as this group wants her back so I'll get to see more of her. She did say to say hi to everyone here and to Catherine.

I finished LUCKY PENNY the other night..no way did I want it to end! It was so good and as all of your stories, I felt a part of it. Good job my friend! Now on to the next...I'm ready! Question: Is there any hope that any of your books will be done in audio? The only one I can find is Baby Love. I love to read a book and then later get the audio and listen to it again. Seems I will 'hear' something different then what I 'read'. There are some really good readers out there and I do hope that if any of yours are made into audio, it will be one of the better ones.
