My sister lives about an hour north of Portland and got 16 inches of snow. I live just over the river from Portland and we only got a couple inches that melted pretty fast, but its been very heavy in the rain department. My backyard has standing water, especially where I didn't get gravel spread yet. At work between the apartment buildings we have alot of flooded sidewalks.I always recommend a little common sense.
If it's colder than 30 degrees outside crack the faucet the furthest away from where the water enters your dwelling just enough to let it drip steadily.
If it's icy don't step on it, drive on it or lick it.
If it's snowing and you don't gotta go anywhere, stay at home and enjoy it there.
