"Spelling"

Hey there Degan,

I was wondering if there was any way possible to have a spell checker included somewhere in the area when we post. It sometimes gets really frustrating (see sp?) to have to hunt for a word in the dictionary to make sure it is spelled right.

Thanks for checking on it.
Robyn

I have to agree with Robyn. I hate that there isn't a spell checker. I see there isn't an answer to this post, any reason why?

That is an excellent question Mickey....

As you can see, I asked it a very, very long time ago and never got a response on it (Grrr Argh)

Maybe Degan can also tell us what the problem is with the Smilies lookup table and all the problems we seem to be having with it.

ie: It hangs up on screen and does not drop down to the taskbar, takes too long for smilies to post to a post, smilies post in wrong place, etc.

Thanks Degan. Any response would be quite helpful!

I finally wound up e-mailing Degan about the smilie thing. She answered me only to ask when I posted my question and where. I never did get an answer about the actual smilies themselves. So I'm wondering if she gets any kind of notification when someone posts on the Help Desk forum? Perhaps we have to e-mail her? Let's see if I ever get an answer. By the way, thanks for the help with the smilies. Can't wait to try!

Well, since it doesn't look like we are getting a response, I looked up spell check on the web. I found a site that is helpful only you have to keep it open while you are on the board. www.spellcheck.net
It doesn't go in your post so it won't help with accidents and typos but it is better than nothing.
