I did like this it made me think of Julia Roberts and things people will do to get away from their idiot husbands. Not one of my favourites though to be honest much prefer the Coulters stories. But i do like the way Catherine obviously researches into her stories and we learn things to and you think about the situations and what people go through. You know i love your books catherine. Did you used to write more than one book a year? I have all your books sealed in a box to keep them safe and i often go back to them. If i go anywhere or i am feeling low i get one out. Once i get your book i read it so fast that it seems to takes so long til the next one. Will Molly and Jake be popping up in another book? Michelle Wales (UK) |

I've been known to write more than one book in a year. You never know...it might happen again. Molly and Jake may very well appear in future books. I love having characters reappear. It lets readers know how their old friends are doing, and it's great fun for me, too. Sometimes the characters themselves insist on showing up! I love knowing you think my books are keepers. Comments like that from readers mean so much more than impersonal reviews. It's great to know that the stories I tell really touch peoples' lives. Thank you so much for sharing.

Sweet nothings as you know is a personal favourite of mine. Having had certain problems myself the book gives me a lift. It is hard to describe. And it shows that you dont have to be the super slim sexy lady for love. The characters in the book are not perfect, which usually in books they all seem the same. You do really well and your writing stands out against all other authors. You also have a great relationship with your fans. You are just brilliant in every way. Hope this improves your day. I can only Imagine. I wrote a "story" A while ago and I let my sister read it. She begged me to get it published because she loved it so much, thought it was amazing.... I have read some really amazing authors so when I wrote it, It felt very rookie. But after I sent it to her, I started reading it again. Changed a whole lot, then read it again. Then I changed so much more. So I can't imagine having to write a book to have it published. One little short story has taken me months and months. I actually started it about 4 years ago. I would complete the story then my comp would crash. That happened three time, believe it or not. Then this last time took about three months. So in the most respect, I think your amazing. How many times do you change what's going on in your book? Add things or take things out? ~!*Debra*!~ |

Debra, the honest answer to your questionis -- it depends on the characters and on the book. I've done pretty much straight-through send-it-in books and others I've ripped apart so many times I lose track. Sometimes in the middle of a book a character will, of his or her own accord (but usually his) jump off the reservation, desert the synopsis, and charge off in a new direction with me mentally running screaming after him. Every author on the face of the planet at some point sat down at a word processor and stared in terror at a blank piece of paper and wondered if they were nuts to think about starting to write a book. You're not alone. Some first attempts are eternal classics. Some hit the circular file while the authors soared with later manuscripts built on the foundation of the early ones. But you've got the write the thing to find out what's going to happen. Write it, save it, and do a hard copy as well. And if it's a romance, think about joining RWA. There are other specialized writer's groups out there, too. Go for it!
