I love Morning Light. It's one of my favorite Catherine books. I thought Loni's gift put an interesting spin on the romance without being too "out there" paranormal. I loved the idea that she'd been dreaming of Clint her whole life. We all dream of that person that's going to come along and sweep us off our feet, but she could actually see what he was going to look like! I loved Clint's transformation from thinking she was nuts in the beginning to being the one person that encouraged her to embrace her gift. The secret that Clint reveals about about the day his mother died just breaks my heart, because I went through something similar with a death in my family as a kid and I know how real that (misplaced) guilt is. I came up with this idea because my grandmother was clairvoyant. It is something that fascinates me. My son John is also clairvoyant, not at much as my grandmother was, mostly because, I think, he began to realize as he grew older that it's strange and different, so he began blocking the talent. At about six, he came to me one afternoon in the kitchen and asked, "When will Nana and Papa get here?" I said, "Oh, sweetie, Nana and Papa aren't coming." He looked at me with such bewilderment and said, "They're not?" About ten minutes later, my parents showed up. It was a surprise visit, and I knew nothing about it. My little boy did! As an adult, he still surprises me every once in a while, knowing things he can't possibly know. But my grandmother was really amazing! Catherine Anderson CatherineDirect@aol.com

I did enjoy morning light...made me think. I have been to many clairvoyants. Nothing was true they said im sure they had the wrong person. I am not sure what i believe. I do believe people can get sort of a feeling as i have seen psychic detective but i think some abuse this position as what happened to me. Must be a scary thing. I am not sure i would always want to know what is going to happen especially bad things. I have been told generations and generations ago someone in my family claimed to sense things and was actually branded a witch. My sister has strange dreams and down the line something happens. She has not been able to determine a dream from a warning yet. But she does claim to have visits from a spirit and usually around that time something bad happens in our lives. I truly do not know what to believe. Michelle Wales (UK) |

I wrote a review on Amazon about MORNING LIGHT: Let me first say that I hate Inspirational or Religious books of any kind. They are always too preachy for me. I'm not the least bit religious, I do not believe in any Christian beliefs. I'm Pagan. I loved this book. I stayed up all night to the point of grabbing my magnifying glass once my eyes went all fuzzy. I loved the story line ! Some people have review they didn't like the aspect of the mom tuning in and spying on her daughter. Come on...what mother wouldn't like to peek into the life of her daughter?? I thought it was rather funny. Another review was it was too religious because he named all his horses bible names. Ok, no one complained when his sister named all hers after spices, what is the difference ?? None that I can see. It is awesome to have themes for names. My animals are named after my favorite TV show and the characters on it. One reviewer said something about Catherine trying to write paranormal romance and fails. Another book I don't like is paranormal. I've read some and they are over the top, at least the ones I read were. I like stories that are believable. I think most of the reviews on here are low due to the fact that no one seems to know a lot about what Catherine was writing about. Psychics, second sight. When someone knows little of something, they dismiss it, they fear it, they ignore it. I for one am GLAD Catherine wrote about such a subject. I have known a few people like she writes on both the catholic side and on the psychic side. How Catherine writes it in her book is how it goes. At times I thought I was reading exactly what a friend had told me happened to her. When someone find out you have a "gift" some friends, seems to just disappear from your life. Others treat you like a freak. Then anyone religous tells you its the work of Satan, and you should pray about it. They tell you they can't believe it because it is against their religon. They shun you. You try to deny who you are, why, to be... "normal", to fit into what others consider normal. Yu hide yourself. Even I, a Pagan, can take away from Catherine's book. Except those around you, believe in yourself, except yourself, expand on your talents, and believe in what you believe in, not what someone else tells you to believe in. Misty Colorado |

Michelle, Kids can find anything, thats why when we loose something we always ask the kids "do you know where it is"? and sure enough they locate it. When my oldest son was about 3 years old, I had just brought my youngest son home from the hospital. Trying to get used to the whole two kids needing something at the same thime thing. My oldest son was in the bathroom brushing his teeth, when the youngest wanted a bottle. So I left the bathroom long enough to heat the bottle and pick up the baby walk back by that time Hunter had taken a tube of red AVON lipstick and colored himself from head to toe. I was like Oh My God!!!!!! Where did you get that lipstick I didn't even know I owned red lipstick. He was so proud of what he did. I gave him a bath but he was still pink for a week after that. I still to this day do not know where that red lipstick came from. Stephanie Kentucky shack |

I loved this book because it was a little different for Catherine to write, but she managed to pull it off! Yes there were some of her fans that didn't like it because of the clairvoyant issue and the religion in it, but those that stuck with it soon found that it all came together and would not have been the wonderful story it was without both. My son was/is clairvoyant too! I think he has also pushed it aside as he grew older too. When he was young..like 3 & 4 years old, when the phone rang he'd know who it was before I answered it (no caller ID back then). When I was driving, he'd say...go down that street, there is a fire truck with the ladder up, yup...there it was. One day we were stuck in slow moving trafic on the way home and he says...there is a blue car in the ditch ahead with it engine on fire..yup there it was. There were so many spooky things he'd say and I'd just look at him like he was making them up, but no he was right. To this day (he is 32 years old now) and lives in TX he'll call right when I'm putting dinner on the table and when I pick up the phone he'll ask 'what kind of fish did you cook?' or 'save me some mac & cheese'....and he is always right on what I'm fixing! Tim and I just look around for where he hid the camera in our house! LighthouseLady/Lynda East Coast of Central Florida |

I must have missed this i didn't see a bad review. I loved learnign about a new ability. Which is how i see the clairvoyant thing as an ability. Catherine wrote it in such a way that you can understand why when people have the ability they dont want to go shouting it down the street and just the affect it has on people and how people react to them. As for the lipstick thing that made me laugh. Well at least we know avon lipstick stays put lol! Lynda i would also be looking for a camera. Lol wonder what else he knows. Michelle Wales (UK) |
