My husband and I are taking a trip to Tunica MS this weekend and I was wondering if any of you have been there and what there is to do......besides gambling lol.
I live in Hernando, MS which is about 20 minutes from Tunica. Of course, the casinos are there. And then there is an outlet shopping mall. And lots of delta land
Lol, yes delta land. And let me tell you it is sooo hot here!!! We have been breaking records all week! So be prepared. It has been over 100 all week. And the humidity is horrible! In the downtown part of Tunica, there are some little shops and a couple restaurants. And then Tunica also has a museum. To be quite honest, there's really not a whole lot to do there. Where are you coming from?
Oh and incase you don't know Tunica is in the delta. Thats why I called it delta land. The delta is just alot of flat land with lots of fields and it is known for being really hot during the summer.
Enjoy Tunica...I have never heard of it either, but sounds interesting! Enjoy the casinos, if that is what you are going for. Sounds like a nice place to just tour around too.

Arkansas. Little Rock area. We are beyond excited. We have been married almost 10 years and the only vacation/honeymoon we have ever had is if our daughter stay's the night with his sister. lol. So this will be like going to Vagas for us. lol!
I haven't been on the boat ride in a very long time but it would be great for you two to go on. The museum might be fun too, I can't say though because I've never been there. There is a really nice restaurant that I've heard good things about. It is called Cafe Marie. But it is pricey. HOpe this helps.
We had a blast!!! For not ever having a vacation/honeymoon EVER. I would have to say we had the best time ever. Found out, I'm not much on gambling. Something about giving money away just isn't that appealing to me. lol. I got up to $70 once, ended up cashing out at $30. The lady next to me sat down, put in a $20 and within 10 min she was up to $287. I wanted to leave that moment. Lost more money than we won. But hey, we got to get away and had a romantic weekend in the process. So over all. It was amazing.
Sounds like you had a great time! When you decided to gamble, you have to set a $$$ amount that you are willing to throw away, and NOT go over it. When it is gone it is gone and the fun is over. And you look at it as if you were paying to go out to some entertainment, like a movie, dinner or play. If you just happen to walk away with more then you went in with...GREAT! The point is to have fun and it looked like you did that.

Lynda, that's what I do. I mentally determine how much I am willing to lose without going into meltdown, and when I hit that mark -- and I usually do -- I stop! But I have a lot of fun getting there.
