I have just been moping and decided enough is enough. I may not be able to have more children but at least i have my daughter. She is just like me and wants to be a cowgirl!
So i am going to try and get well as possible and once my operation is done will get as fit as i can. We are going to save and we are going to that Ranch in America. My husband doesn't like horses but he can go off and play golf. I am going to get on that horse, it has always been a dream and i am going to do it! May take a few years to do it but i AM going to!

Well girls if my husband comes it will be on a ranch in Florida so he can go off and do things so maybe one week on the ranch and then the other half viewing florida. If he doesn't want to come i feel adventurous and will go alone! yeas alone! pretty frightening but it is a dream there are so many lovely ranches online to view i wouldn't know how to chose. It isn;t like a wish i can never make come true, so i am going for it maybe a few years yet but i will do it i will!

There are so many wonderful guest ranches in America that it would be hard to pick which one to visit. If you want the real ranch flavor of the old west, though, I would consider visiting one that IS in the west.

Hmm...maybe think of it this way. You are simply and politely repeating what you want him to do until he does it. To check out lots of different ranches with lots of different offerings, try to find your dream location at www.duderanch.org. It's a great site. You husband might even get excited about what he sees.

I did and my daughter did too as she wants to try everything. Mostly riding the horses though. She did ask for one for her birthday. lol. I told her the garden is too small.

She is a bit young yet sjhe turns 5 on august 31st. But if she sees a horse books she picks it up. And she will watch a western or a film with the horses and worry about the horses all the way through. She is so like me. Everyone comments how she is like me the poor thing lol.

See if you can find her the DVD "Spirit", about a wild horse who couldn't be broken. It's a wonderful story, a beautifully animated children's DVD that the whole family will enjoy. A friend's grandson plays it several times every day. Lots of life lessons, and an unforgettable film.

Ooh we watched that the other day. I used to read a series of books about wild horses i wish i could remeber what they were. Teah is very like me and gets very emotional over animal films and we often cry together. We watched homeward bound 1 and 2 and both cried. She has to save every snail in the garden. But like me is a little afraid of spiders.

Have you seen the original "The Incredible Journey," with no talking animals, just the real story? It's a wonderful film. Also, you might enjoy Disney's "Justin Morgan Had A Horse."

My grandson's favorite movie right now is Spirit. Every time we drive into town and pass fields we look for horses and cows. He insist that a donkey is a horse. lol I want him to be an dog trainer and my younger grandson can be a vet.

Teah is determined she is going to be a vet and marry a cowboy who has lots of horses and dogs. I remember being the same myself. I am sure she can be anything she wants.

My assistant grew up on acreage with many horses, and she wanted to be an equine veterinarian at a time when women vets were as rare as male nurses. Her dad put paid to that idea by taking her, as an impressionable fifteen-year-old, to the vet college at UC Davis. The first thing they showed her was where they kept the frozen cadaver horses awaiting dissection. She ended up with a degree in journalism.

I went to animal college after school as thsi was a way to become a vet nurse. I am not super clever so was aiming for a nurse instead of a vet as i enjoy caring for animals. It proved to be a very expensive course. I was working evening and weekends and was getting behind with my course work and just could not bring myself to keep asking my mum and dad for money for the course. So i missed alot. Mum and dad are low earners but both worked so i didn't qualify for help. My big sisters baby died and she depended on me alot then for support. I pretended to my mum and dad that my ambition changed and i ended up giving up college and going into an office.
It turned out a good idea as my little sister ended up a pregnant teen and they changed the qualifications for a vet nurse so i woul have had to go and gdo another 2 years in university after college. In a way i always regret leaving but i know now that i love being a full time mum something my mum could never be. Mum and dad were always working to keep us going. My grandad was our carer. How i miss him.I always promised i would be there for my child. My husband works hard so i can be.

I'mm totally for women having a career if they choose, but there are tremendous advantages to being a stay-at-home mom, too. During these economic times, however, that isn't a viable choice for many women. A second income is an absolute necessity.

If i had childcare i would probably be working now but my mum and dad both work and childcare was so expensive. With my husband working 6 days a week and most evenings on call it was proving a difficult task. I hope in the furture to go back to work. Unfortunately they want me to seek another profession. I loved my caring job, but it proved hard on my arthritus.
