I received a small mountain of entries for my two August contests. An astounding number of readers shared their ten all-time favorite books, and their ten all-time favorite authors. At the end of the month I did what I said I'd do: I printed out the names of every reader who entered each contest, and put them into two boxes: one for the favorite authors and one for the favorite books. I had my patient husband close his eyes and draw one name out of each.Betty Brewer won the 10 All Time Favorite Books contest. Here are her top picks:
