"Perfect Timing Review *Possible Spoiler*"

Perfect Timing is another perfect book by Catherine Anderson. I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of this book. I devoured this book in practically one sitting because I could hardly put it down! Quincy and Ceara's story is one to be remembered. The book is about Quincy Harrigan, the last of the Harrigan brothers to be unmarried and Ceara O'Ceallaigh who claims to be from fourteenth century Ireland. Ceara says that she has come forward in time to save the first wives who have been cursed to die of blood disease and that to save Quincy's sisters-in-law {one of whom, Loni, is currently dying} they must marry. At first, Quincy does not believe her and has her arrested for Breaking and Entering but he pays her bail {and later drops charges} to meet his psychic sister-in-law who says Ceara is the real deal. They marry and consummate the relationship and almost immediately Loni takes a turn for the better. Over time, Quincy comes to believe in Ceara and falls in love with her with all of his being though there are some confusions in language that are sweetly funny. The book covers their marriage and the trials that come their way and Catherine does a fantastic job of it. There were times of tears, of smiles, and of outright laughter in this book and I highly recommend it. I absolutely loved this story and believe it to be one of Catherine's best.

Well..."Perfect Timing" was to have been the end of the Harrigan series. But it seems that popular demand isn't going to let that happen.

I have contracts for a couple of specific books that I must write. After that...well...?

Popular demand for more of the Harrigans hasn't died down one bit. If anything, it's increased. I'll see what I can do.

But don't forget those charming, handsome, sexy Rafferty brothers -- all seven of them!

Well... You know about my bookshelves and the lots of Catherines books in there. I love most of them and devoured them one after the other as soon as I could get one. So I got Perfect Timing and Cheyenne Amber for my Kindle recently and was really looking forward to some hours of great reading. Cheyenne Amber was everything I expected. But Perfect Timing felt a bit like a desperate attempt to fit time travel into the next generation of Harrigan novels. The story was obvious and the reader was hurried into the hospital. It had it's moments and I've laughed some, but it made one of the last places on my personal Catherine Anderson list.
I'm looking forward to the next book. Even if it's an historical and I liked the contemporary better until now.

I knew that "Perfect Timing" was enough of a departure from what I usually write that readers would either love it or hate it, and that there would be little if any middle ground. I had never even thought about writing this type of book, but it just sort of "jumped out" at me when I started thinking about Quincy, so I went with the flow. Most people loved it...in fact, consider it the best book I've ever written. But others found it difficult to relate to, and that's all right, as well. No author is going to please all of her readers with every book. It's impossible. For those of you who didn't feel able to relate to "Perfect Timing," I hope you will enjoy some of my future works, and as always, I am so grateful for your support.

I now think that it's the usual depth of the characters that I miss in Perfect Timing.
I mean, even clearvoyants were ok with me.
But I'm really happy for you that there are lots of readers who can appreciate the book.

My forthcoming book is a historical. I don't have a release date yet for "Walking On Air" but when I do, I'll let you all know.
