"Looking for a book..."

I'm looking for a book that I read a few years ago... Unfortunately I can't remember the title or author's name... I'm hoping someone here will have read it... What I remember is... A Girl immigrants to American from Ireland... Her Uncle? left her some land... She gets to American and finds the land etc and starts working... Than a man comes he lays claim to the land... I think the Uncle left it to both of them but can't be sure... I also remember that the man gets very Wet but how I can't remember... He lays in bed for days with a fever... And in the end she take off all her clothes and gets into bed with him to help keep him warm... I remember her living in the house and him living in a shed or something like it... Any ideas??? Isn't that a cool research site...I've been looking up books on amazon from there... I know I've read a Gentle Giving but can't remember it...will look it up and let you know.. Jules I.C.B.B.W.I..... |
