Speaking of books that we've both read - I guess you didn't see my question in one of my posts above. I've been wondering what you thought of Three's a Crowd by Dianne Blacklock?
I really enjoyed it.
Joan

Sorry for missing this question Joan. I really enjoyed this book it held my interest right up until the end. I thought it was very well written and I loved the interactions between the friends. There were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming although I think underneath I realised before it was revealed who Catherine had sex with at the conference. I felt Catherine got what she deserved in the end! I liked that bit of the ending...nasty aren't I!

One of the aspects of the book I did enjoy was recognising the landmarks mentioned in the book. I grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. I know Clovelly quite well spending much of my youth at the beaches in Clovelly/Coogee. I regularly walked down Rainbow Street and visited locations mentioned in the book. Reading a book set in Sydney in places I know quite well added to the enjoyment for me.

I agree with Cathy Kelly's quote on the back of the book "Genuine warmth and gentle humour"

I also recently read Wife for Hire by Dianne Blacklock - have you read this book? I really enjoyed it as well.

Dianne,
Australia

Dianne, I've read all of Dianne Blacklock's books. I really enjoy reading stories that are set in places that I know and I'm familiar with most of the settings so far - some more than others - but I do know something about each place where the stories take place so it's easy to relate to where they are.

In Three's a Crowd I enjoyed the way we saw how the lives of the people in the group changed over the course of the year and how the dynamics in the group changed over that period.
