"What is a good book to read first by James Patterson?"
I was eying all the books by James Patterson after someone recommended him as a favorite male author. What would be a good book to start with? Are their series that should be read in sequential order?

Oh wow, where to start with James Patterson? He has so mannnnny books out. He does do a series with Alex Cross and I'm not sure you need to start at the beginning, but he does build from the beginning but makes it so you can start almost anywhere.
He has written alot of stand alones too including some romance books...such a difference from this others.
I'd say jump in any place!

Hi, I liked Honeymoon, a title I picked up a few years back. Patterson has a way of creating the most complex characters! Let me know if you get a chance to read it.

Yes I read honeymoon on a vacation with my husband. He is trying to get me off of romance novels. I don't know if I would rather have me read about fabulous black widows, or not. It was very excited though a bit disturbing. How can a woman be so outwardly appealing and caring actually do such things. Patterson may be like Shakespeare--talented, but not so accurate when portraying the female of the species.

I love the Women's Murder Club. He is on book 9 of that now. I just started The Postcard Killers. Love the Alex Cross books, and movies. I have to say that I have not read a book by him that I have not liked.
