"Books"

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-10 AT 05:51 PM (EST)

Here is a question for everyone i would be interested in knowing how many books you read last year.

I made a list and there were 75 books but could be more cause i am sure i forgot to write some down.

How about you?

Kathy

My list says 105 - that's full length books - and I also read a few Mills and Boon as well that I didn't list.
I'm wondering how I managed to read 190 one year when I had a stressful, full time job and now that I'm retired and I'm supposed to be ploughing through the books that I stockpiled for just this time in my life, the number keeps dropping each year.
I guess I have more time and energy to do other things these days.

I also listened to a lot of audios but I kept forgetting to add those to my list.

I am guessing close to 150. I really wasn't keeping track near the begining of the year, but after June I wasn't in classes much anymore and my reading picked up big time.

Wow...I'm not sure...off the top of my head I would say about 3-4 per month. Some months more, though, especailly if I am reading large series books, then I tend to read faster to get through them. So If I had to estimate a number it would be about 50...definitely not as much as you all!

Lee I find this question incredibly hard to answer. I read between 2-3 books per week sometimes more sometimes less depending on how long the book is and whether I'm on school holidays! The minimum would be 1 book per week but on average I'd safely say at least two per week. To be honest I have no idea how many books I read last year...my guess would be around 150!

I used to limit myself to one book a week and I accomplished a lot more around the house. My husband is in Iraq with his army reserve unit for several months though, so I am reading as many as I feel like now.

Once I just limited myself to one novel a week and then could read all I wanted of other books, religion, self help, gardening etc. I learned a lot, but it is hard to keep to that kind of discipline when your love is gone and you need a good distraction. A CA book is just the ticket.

I still have a while before I retire but I always believed that when you retire you start to slow down and take things quietly. The complete opposite has happened to my parents. They have a better social life these days - they are rarely at home!

Not as many as I would have liked.

I would estimate about 30, though.

I didn't write them down, but well over 100. I read 60 for the summer library program, plus I get the Love Inspired and Romance books every month. I haven't read them all yet, but I have read most of them.
