"The Endless Forest"

WOW! I feel like I have come to the end of a long and very enjoyable journey. I just finished reading "The Endless Forest" the final book in Sara Donati's wonderful "Into the Wilderness" series. Following the lives of the Bonner family has been a most enjoyable journey and I feel great sadness that the end has come. Sara Donati has written a wonderful ending to an incredibly good series. I admit I shed a tear or two at the end mixed in with a few smiles and sighs. I loved this book and all the books before it - six in total.

If you have never read this series then I highly recommend it. If you have read this book - I would love to discuss the series and this book with you.

Australia

I read the first book and enjoyed it because it did take such a long time to read. Sometimes it is a let down when a book ends to soon. I checked the next two books out immediately and read the first little bit to make sure the twins came out all right. Then I can't get up the ambition to finish it. They have found true love and had children--is there really interesting things yet to come. Are those huge books sitting in my room worth reading? Struggling with family and married life is what I do all the time--where is the escape.

Personally I think it is worth reading every book in the series. I can only speak for myself but I became totally involved in each book. They all held my interest until the end. The books follow the lives of the whole Bonner family but Hannah seems to have the largest role in this series. The books cover a period in Scotland, the American Civil War etc.

I have recommended this series to family and friends and they all became hooked on the series just like I did. We all waited anxiously for the next book to be released - that is why I am feeling a little sad right now knowing the series has come to an end. To the frustration of our partners and children, my friends and I have dominated many dinner outings discussing this series! It really is that good!
