   Karen,

WELCOME to CA's Discussion Board - I hope you enjoy your time here, I certainly do!

Baby Love is one of my favourite CA books. They are all extremely good but there is something really special about Baby Love. I am sure you are going to enjoy all the CA books you've ordered. I own all but a few of the out-of-print books and have loved them all.

Once again welcome to the BB.

Dianne,
Australia

Welcome Karen. I'm sure you'll enjoy all of Catherine's books.

Please tell us which other authors you enjoy and join in the 'What are you reading' discussions.

We have a wide range of tastes here so you're sure to find someone else reading other books that you like.

I have never been a reader until my mom turned me on to Cathrine's books. If yu can give some other great authors I would love to hear. I'm almost finished with Early Dawn. Great book!

Karen, there are so many great authors out there it's hard to choose which ones to recommend.

I'd suggest that you look through some of the older discussions here on the board, especially the What Are You Reading? posts, and you'll find lots of authors that you can check out.

Right up at the top of my list is Susan Elizabeth Phillips but she's just one of many and I'm sure the other BB members have their favourites to recommend as well,

Happy reading

Welcome Karen...Gald you enjoyed Baby Love def one of my favs by Catherine....You should def try out Judith McNaught...her historicals are TO DIE FOR...you should start with Something Wonderful or Once and Always...both are great books...Almost Heaven is my fav but it kinda/sorta follows Something Wonderful in the secondary characters are the primary characters from SW...Make sense...

Also Julia Quinn wrote a great series...Starts with The Duke and I and is about the Bridgertons...There is a book for each Bridgerton child...

Then there is Johanna Lindsey-her Mallory series is also wonderful...

ANDDDDDDDDDD of course Julie Garwood...Def read Saving Grace it is by far my favorite book EVER!!!...

Now all of these are historicals but Julie Garwood has written a contemp series...it starts with Heartbreaker...that series is really good too...

Thank you for all the authors, I will check them out for sure. Like I said I never read much before and now it's hard to put a good book down. You get so cought up in the caracter it's crazy. I did read The time travlers wife by Audrey Niffenegger, some how she is related to me. It was a good book too.

Welcome to the board, Karen!

Baby Love will always have a special place in my heart as it was the first of Catherine's books for me. While I have enjoyed them all, Phantom Waltz is probably my favorite.

As to other authors, I would like to add both Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Robyn Carr to the list. I think they are excellent contemporary romance/fiction writers.

You have such similar tastes to mine. I just reread "Kingdom of Dreams" by Mcnaught and enjoyed it again. In Almost Heaven, the estrangement at the end seemed a little contrived. The rich standing on the backs of the poor was pretty standard knowledge back then. Would Elizabeth really run away because she was imformed of this. All the difficulties between Royce and Jennifer seemed believable.

Since you have such similar tastes....what have you enjoyed lately?

Kerry

I just finished Blue Skies and now I'm half way through Bright Eyes. Great reads. After I finish all of Cathrines books I will have to move on to some one else.

My son is in the Navy and he is deployed right now by Iran and he has a nook so he has alot of good authors to share. Reading passes his time when he isn't busy.

I love "Whitney, My Love", because of the changes made in the reprint. I always loved Whitney, but Clayton left me a little cold--he did actually spank her. Though I am tempted sometimes to spank my children--never would it be a good choice with a wife or fiance!!!!!

When she added the Dowager Duchess' encouragement at the end, it humanized Clayton enough that I liked the book much better.
