"New authors to me..."
| |
Hi, All- In my quest to fill the void of afternoons while my daughter is at the learning center, I've visited the half-price book stores. I'm finding an unending supply of dollar books, both hardback and paperback. I came here with a grocery sack plum full of books, and now I have three! I'm exploring new authors to me: Katherine Woodiwiss, Eileen Goudge, Rosamunde Pilcher, Maeve Binchy, Joy Fielding, just to name a few. Before I dive in, does anyone have experience reading any of these authors? Please let me know your thoughts and also send me any names you think I may enjoy. I'm trying a few recommendations by Nora Roberts that I got from a friend in this business. She recommended Naked in Death, and the Chesapeake Bay series. I also found the three Born in.....books, and I'm anxious to see if anyone thinks I've started in the right direction. Stephanie Vogelsong stephvogelsong@aol.com |

Hi there I havent read these. If you like western romance, i quite like Stacey Kayne. she has somderfuls sense of humour and again the heroines arent always perfect. Carol finch and i like genell Dellin. lovely native american romances. As for historical i love lynsays sand. Very humourous and often sexy too. Michelle Wales (UK) |

Laurie I have mailed her again to find out. If you like Stacey Kayne you may like Heidi Betts. Have you heard of her? She a few years ago did a western romance series. It starts with cinnamon and roses and then a promise of roses. They are very good. I really enjoyed them. I loved the heroes in stacey kayne books. Looking forward to moore.she also has walkers widow and callies convict to. Well worth a read, Michelle Wales (UK) |
