Hi, Everyone. Thank you so much for all the thoughtful wishes for a wonderful Christmas. They came true. It was lovely, and I hope each of you enjoyed the same. To all my new readers, gratitude! It's so nice that you stopped in to tell me you've just found my books. Annie's Song seems to get several mentions. That book definitely seems to have legs! It's gratifying to know that people are still enjoying it. I'm sorry it's been so long since I dropped by. I was writing the synopsis for my next book, which will be Hank Coulter's story. I'm happy to be able to tell you that my publisher has given me the go-ahead to write the book, so in answer to all of you who asked about more Coulter books, YES, I'll be writing more of them! God bless all of you, and best wishes for a fabulous New Year.

This is my first time visiting your newly designed site and I must say that I love it almost as much as I love your books! I love the writing tips you have here most of all. I'm a junior in college and (although it will probably incite the wrath of my parents) I am strongly considering switching my major to journalism. The desire, the urge to write has been within me for what seems like forever and it is only now that I think I've found the courage to do so. I don't think I'll be a novelist but more along the lines of the news. I want to have an impact on how our world thinks and what they think about, but more importantly, I belive I am capable of doing so. It wasn't until after I read your tips that I realized that I really want to follow my heart and abilities. Thank you.

Hi Catherine, This is my first time visiting your website. I am a long time fan of your books. It all began with Annie's Song, I have been hooked ever since. I can't wait to read your next book. I just finished Always in My Heart and loved it. One of the things I love most about your books is that since I am from Oregon I can visualize or at least imagine the places the stories are taking place in. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with the world.

To Isabelle and Betty and Denise and eveyone else who has stopped by, thank you so much. Do you realize that writers spend most of their hours alone--with words on a screen? Those words never say, "Good job." They don't pat you on the back. You have no idea if your work is up to par--or if it matters to anyone. And often you flounder, wondering who you're kidding. When those times come, it's difficult to keep pouring your heart out into a book. Every message on this board has touched me in ways you can't possibly know. There's Betty, whom I have never met, who faithfully stops in to leave me little messages of inspiration, and then there are all the rest of you, who just drop in to say hi and let me know you've enjoyed my books. You will never know how much those notes mean to me. You can't possibly. I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to write. And Isabelle, good luck in finding your special fellow. He's out there somewhere, and you're fated to find him. When you do, perhaps you'll write YOUR story for all of us to enjoy. Thank you so much for stopping in to tell me that Phantom Waltz touched you. It's a special compliment, coming from a lady in a wheelchair. I'm presently writing another book about a handicapped woman, and you're letter inspired me to give it eveything I've got. Gratitude to all of you.

Catherine- I am in the middle of reading PHANTOM WALTZ and it is fantastic. I am physically disabled, like Bethany, and it it wonderful to read a book with a wheelchair-bound heroine. So many of the emotions that you wrote in Bethany are echoes of my own feelings. In fact, sometimes I get so caught up in the story, I have a physical emotional response. Thank you for going against convention and writing about such a taboo subject - disability and romance! We are not asexual beings! Now I need to find my own real-life Ryan. Here I go...

I'll I can say is you are the best writer I have ever read. I have read every one of your books that I can get my hands on. I am searching for the rest. One of my favorites was Annie's song. Hello Catherine...I admire your writing so much, and having grown up with horses...being recently divorced...well, I loved "Sweet Nothings". I am currently working on my second romance novel and hope, someday, to have even a fraction of your talent and success. Continue your delightful work!

Dear Catherine, I began reading your works when a friend handed me a bag of books with Sweet Nothnings in it. I hesitated to start the book because as a horsewoman, especially one who is deeply involved in natural horsemanship, I cringe at the term "horse whisper". Indeed the people who seem to wrought miracles with horses all do. Not that I'm a miracle worker. I do have a barn full of horses that needed something special to change their outlook on life though. I learned my trade by investing forty years in it and learning to really look at what horses were saying with their body language. No magic, just a lot of time and effort. Anyway, I tend to stay away from most books with a heavy horse theme because I inevitably find things WRONG. I did read yours though and fell in love with Molly and your heros. I hit my local Barns & Nobel and cleaned the shelf. Then I hit my favorite used store and got more of your books. You are an excellent writer and I really love the people you create in your books. I am also a writer. I usually write for horse magazines, but the past couple of years I've been writing novels. The first two or three really stunk. I had some good reviews with some fan fiction I tried though and think I may be getting the hang of it. The novel I'm working on currently placed third in the SGWL contest. Since there were 25 entries that gives me hope it will be a novel I will feel is worthy to send out to publishers. I keep reminding myself that it took a long time to learn my trade as a horsewoman and build my business to where it is now. I shouldn't expect writing to take any less time or effort. You do say something similar in your Writing Tips so I will continue to pound on my keyboard when I'm not out mucking out stalls. Here's hoping we meet some day at a writer's conference. Bettye P.S. I really, really would like more stories about the Keegan brothers, especially Joseph.

"Sweet Nothings" is one of my all time favorite books! I love to read and can complete up to 3 books a week - but never have read a book that the Author has purely captured my attention and I just don't want the book to ever end. Catherine, I love reading your words - you are now my #1 favorite Author, thank you for writing!

I have been reading your books for a year or two now and after I read Annie's song I grabbed everthing that I could find off of the shelf. Thank you for sharing yourself in the way that you do. And thank you for the many hours of pleasure that you have given myself and so many other readers Melissa

I have just finished "Always in My Heart," and you have again confirmed to me that you are indeed an incredible writer. This story was so powerful -- in its premise, the Grant family and their pain and suffering, and the unique way in which the boys brought about their parents' reconciliation. Also, your descriptions of the wilderness of central Oregon were so vivid that I could almost hear the sounds and see the sights as though I were actually there. I have read every single one of your books, even your early Harlequin Intrigues, and loved all of them. You have the ability to portray to your readers the human heart and all the feelings and emotions that its owner suffers. The books in the Comanche Series are among my favorites, and I hope someday you will write another story about more of Hunter Wolf's descendants. Needless to say, all of your books are on my KEEPER SHELF. By the way, my name is also ADELINE.

I admit, I started late on the booklist (the first book I read by you was Sweet Nothings.) But after reading that one book (over and over again) I am addicted to your stories! I cannot wait to back up and read the older books along with all your future ones. You're a wonderful writer~ keep it up always!

Hello: I just finished "Always in My Heart." I'm curious -- will you be writing a sequel to this story? I've read many of your books and enjoy them. Sometimes, I get so involved in the storyline that I can't put the book down. Keep up the good work. Betty

Thank you for writing such wonderful stories. How I wish I could find the men that you create in your books. I ordered Always in My Heart prior to the release month because I was so anxious to read another Catherine Anderson! Unfortunately I finished it in 3 days (probably would have been sooner if I didn't have to work). I can't wait to next year...it seems so far away. I read your Cheyenne series when they were first published and gave them away soon after. I wanted to "relive" them but I had trouble locating them until I found them in out-of-print editions from local bookseller. They are now in my permanent collection of books. Thank you again for gracing us with your style of writing packed with joy, love, laughter, real life and most of all hope. Peace.

I just recently started to read your work, and I LOVE it. "Sweet Nothings" has become my favorite because it is about a realistic body type of a woman. It makes me want a Jake Coulter of my very own (or atleast for my husband to act like him :-).

Ooohhh Catherine -- I just finished Always in My Heart!!! I still have a lump in my throat! I have NO idea how RT gave this book a 3 star! I'd give it a 10 -My husband and I have friends who have gone through this many years ago - They stayed together thru this but it was awful for their other children and all their friends they never have gotten over it - their son committed susicide - and the entire community was affected! Ive cried over the book and remembered their loss.Dear Catherine you have another WINNER!!! and I know that you know this. I loved your dedication to your son and hope that soon his marriage will be a new beginning or that he will make peace with himself about his separation from his son. I just finished the book and will reread right after I finish cooking supper for my wonderful husband - I told him this a m my book is here soooo don't expect me to even be in this world. He really loves me (even after 47 years) and knows that I will be there for him if he needs me BUT he knows that when I tell him I have a new book of yours I'll be in Catherine land! and not to disturb unless necessary. Loved it even as I wipe my tears and keep up your good work - I appreciate you and your gift sooo much! Thank You!!! betty Allen

I have been reading your books for a couple of months now. My sister Shannon dated your son John many years ago in Washington. My mother is Donna Johnson. I saw one of you books in a store and handed it to my mom. She bought it and it ended up at my house somehow. I rarely enjoy reading, but I picked yours up. My husband now thinks I am a romance novel junkie. (I only read yours though. I tried one other author and it did not seems as clean.) I love your books and I have most of them. I look forward to getting your latest book. Shannon is married and has a two year old son who I adore. My parents are doing great. God Bless!

Hi, everyone. Thank you for all the wonderful messages. You make my heart sing! This month, some really fun prizes are being given away weekly at the BULLETIN BOARD. This week, free autographed books and a $25 dollar gift basket will be won by someone. The odds of winning these exclusive reader board contests are very good because there aren't as many entries as in most contests. Instead of being one of hundreds, you'll be one of a select few. Many reader board users have now won prizes more than once. I hope you'll come join in all the fun. Just click on BULLETIN BOARD at the left of the screen, and when you arrive, click on MAIN BOARD. Open the contest messages, read the instructions, and good luck!

I read your interview in the Drama Newsletter at Stories.com. I recognized some of your book titles, though I must admit, I haven't read any of them yet. After finding out more about you, and discovering the woman behind the words, I'm curious about your novels now. Your interview was inspiration to me. Thank you.
